 Alpert, Barr & Grant principal Gary Barr authored the February, 2008 cover story for Los Angeles Lawyer, the official publication of the Los Angeles County Bar Association. Titled "Waste Land," the article focuses on the anti-deficiency rule in foreclosures and how it does not apply in cases of bad faith waste. The article is particularly timely in light of the current real estate market and the pressures lenders are facing to recover on non-performing loans.
